Summertime Salad

I am always saying I want to eat healthier, because even though I eat well a lot of the time I don't have the self-control to keep from polishing off the Chex Mix at Bunko or asking for another basket of chips at Las Delicious (who CAN say no to their chips?!). Sometimes I even think it's difficult to come up with healthy meals that taste good, but this time of year I have no excuses. Check out this salad of watermelon, mint, blue cheese and arugula... Yum! I LOVE summertime and LOVE fresh fruits and veggies!

Perfect weather... for a dog in a lake!

Some people may consider today's temperature painfully hot. For a dog at the Shelby Farms Dog Park, it's perfect! My friend Colby and I took our pups to the Yappy Hour event at Shelby Farms and boy did they have fun. These were the best pictures I could get of moving targets with my phone camera, but they are good enough to tell how much fun the dogs were having!

They had a great time running through the grassy fields. The weeds were taller than them, so you could just see them bobbing up and down while running. 

Here they are running away. Their attention span is so short that even a lake full of big dogs and tennis balls didn't keep them interested for long.
