Katelyn's Nursery!

I've posted pictures of the nursery before as a work in process, but now I'm comfortable saying that the nursery is "ready". People ask us all the time if WE are ready, and I'm not really sure about that, but I think the nursery is!

This is the left side of the room, with the tree decal from overstock.com, crib that is a much appreciated hand-me-down from our great friend Lisa and glider that we bought from some friends at work. You can see two beautiful quilts that Mom made on the side of the crib, too. I love them! I ordered the rug online at a site that seemed a little shady, but it turned out great! The light is the original light that was in the room when we moved in. Since it is completely inappropriate for anything except a little girl's room, we switched it out soon after we moved in, but Justin stuck it in the attic instead of getting rid of it so we (Justin) pulled it back down and rehung it!

On the right side of the room you can see our curtains, from Target. One weekend when Mom and Dad  were in town, Mom and I looked at every curtain in Memphis and bought several, finally settling on these. I like the soft pink color and the pleats that you can't really see in this picture. The changing table is a buffet table that Justin and I bought used, then painted white.

I love our collage of pictures over the changing table. At some point it's going to be impractical to have things hanging so close to where the baby will be, but for now it's cute and I like it! For the record, I have filled the frame with the sideways sailboat since this picture was taken.

I LOVE this painting that Shelby made for us. It is so cute, and I love the message. Sugar and spice and everything nice... and so much more!

I made this initial canvas to fill up the wall and balance out the other canvas, and I'm happy with how it turned out, especially for such a quick and easy project.

I'm really happy with the nursery decorations and can't wait to have a baby to put in it!!!
